ALL FIRMS WE MENTION HERE AUTHENTICATE THE PRODUCTS YOU BUY.
We only list prestigious firms with a well established reputation and who authenticate products. We actually have the option of listing many more firms but we have decided many of the firms not mentioned here have questionable reputations or offer items the other 12 are already offering.
When you have found a bag you are interested in We strongly emphasize this: always ask the vendor all questions you may have before making a purchase decision, make sure to know everything you need to know about the item you are interested in before paying for it. IF THEY DON’T ANSWER ALL QUESTIONS YOU HAVE ABOUT THE ITEM PRIOR TO BUYING, DON’T BUY FROM THEM.

MOYNAT IS A FRENCH TRUNKS AND LEATHER GOODS MAKER KNOWN FOR ITS HIGH QUALITY AND LUXURY
MOYNAT’S HISTORY
Founded at: Paris, France
Year: 1849
Headquarters: Paris, France
Moynat was founded in 1849 in Paris, France, by the Coulembier family (Octavie and François Coulembier), they were manufacturers of travel goods and they opened an atelier to seel travel goods. In 1969 they partnered with a very creative client of theirs named Pauline Moynat, to open a store a store specialized in travel goods in Paris.
During that time traveling was only for the rich and it happened mostly on trains or by car. Pauline Moynat had studied aspects like how to fit things required for traveling in a car and how ladies outfits were made. She came up with several innovations, among them she was the first one creating small travel bags. She also came up with an idea to add a rubbery protection to the trunks and bags to protect them from the elements when traveling.
Moynat patented those inventions in 1854.
Her trunks , suitcases and bags became famous for combining innovations and extremely high quality in craftsmanship and for being almost like art pieces in terms of their design and finishes.
Pieces sold there were custom made and unique.
From their foundation to 1925 Moynat participated regularly in World Fairs and won prizes and world records.
Moynat remained in business until 1976 and they were forced to close their operations due to market conditions.
In 2010 Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy (LVMH) purchases Moynat with the intention to revive the legendary brand.
In 2011 a new flagship store in Paris opens and Guillaume Davin and Ramesh Nair are named Creative Directors of the brand.
Today Moynat has 28 stores in 12 countries and it offers handcrafted trunks and luggage and very exclusive handbags.
The brand is very popular among celebrities and affluent customers.
