Description: COACH was founded in 1941 in New York, by Lilian and Miles Cahn, initially they started under the name Manhattan Leather Bags. Their inspiration was the quality and finish (stitch work) of baseball gloves and wanting to transfer that feel and quality to a handbag. Over the decades they had a few changes in the type of product they offered but after 1979, under new management, their goal became to offer luxury goods but at affordable prices. By the 90, thanks to this philosophy, Coach managed to fill a void between very expensive luxury bags and cheap knock offs from departments store, with this, and the addition of other product lines aside from leather bags, the company became very well known and very successful.
Today they are a very popular and coveted brand in the mid-level luxury market.
