Description: KATE SPADE was founded in 1993 by Kate Brosnahan Spade, who at the time was an accessories director for the magazine Mademoiselle in New York. her goal was to create the perfect handbag and her first collection showed fresh designs with original and vibrant colors, her designs combine utility with a very innovative style. By 1996 Kate Spade had opened the first store in New York, The originality of the designs and colors quickly made the firm well-known first in New York fashion circles and later by celebrities and wealthy clients, the brand became very well known and sold all over the world and in 2007 it was acquired by what then was Liz Claiborne.
Unfortunately, the name is also well known for the fact that the founder, Kate Spade, committed suicide in 2018 due to mental illness.
Today, Kate Spade New York sell handbags reflecting the same philosophy that made them well known and they added to their product line clothing, swimwear, sleepwear, shoes, watches, fashion Jewelry, fragrances, eyewear and other accessories.
